COVID GUIDANCE WHILST ON SITE

The measures outlined below is Scottish Government guidance relating to community food growing sites which includes allotments. CCAA asks that all plotters and their families adhere to the measures outlined below as far as is reasonably practicable.

Anyone who is self-isolating e.g. because they or a member of their household have COVID-19 symptoms, or they have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID 19, are required to stay at home for the period of their self-isolation and not attend the site.

Plotters (and families) need to be mindful and take into account the local protection levels. Plotters (and families) living in a Level 3 or 4 area must not travel outside of that area to attend the site.

• Keep hand sanitiser, antibacterial gel and/or wipes in your shed and use before and after handling shared items e.g. gates, padlocks, handles, taps, mower, strimmer, mop and bucket
• Wash your hands before, during and after having been on site
• You might want to consider bringing a flask of hot water and soap with you to the site
• Observe the 2 metre social distancing amongst us
• Only one person at a time in the site polytunnel
• Do not share your own personal tools and gloves
• If plotters attend the site with children, ensure they remain within the boundaries of that plot.
• Take note of any updates and relevant signage eg in the window of the portacabin
